Keith Evans 1938 - 2023

The club is very sad to announce that one of our most longstanding members, Keith Evans, passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning, aged 85. Keith was a great friend of many of us, and had been a member since 1986.

Summer Road Relays - Join the Serpie teams!

Thanks to those who have signed up for the Road Relay teams in September. We’re excited to be able to field competitive teams in both the men’s and women’s categories at the moment. However, we'd love to see more red and gold representatives as one of the largest road running clubs in London, and we could form more teams in both competitions.
Serpie Bank Holiday Monday Trail Run

This is a beautiful point to point run through Epping Forest, ending at Epping tube.The total distance will be about 20km. It's a mix of pavement, gravel path and trail and is a bit undulating in parts.
September Road Relays - Middlesex & Southern

Green Belt Relay 2023 – Serpentine RC Mixed Team category winners!

The annual Green Belt Relay took place over the weekend of 13 and 14 May 2023. We are glad to report that Serpentine RC won the mixed team category. It was a brilliant weekend with 34 Serpies (divided into 3 different teams) competing over 22 individual stages, with the winners’ shield, the 25th edition race T-shirts, and plenty of smiles
Donate your old trainers

You may know Phil Kelvin & Jim Hill as the enthusiastic bell-ringing marshals at the Last Friday 5km races. They are also enthusiastic volunteers at a drop-in centre for asylum seekers and refugees and are calling out to all Serpies to donate their old trainers. Footwear is just so expensive and they can assure you that donations will be well received.
