Report

A great day of racing yesterday in Berkley Fields for the club with several individual as well as team medals.
In the women's race Tash Sheel and R Thomas from Victoria Park Harriers swapped the lead several times over during the race leading to a sprint finish with Tash coming a very spirited second. Victoria Crawford was right behind in third place. In the team competition we were just pipped to the gold by six points which was won by Victoria Park Harriers. Congratulations go to the silver medal team of Tash Sheel, Victoria Crawford, Ines Blanco and Jen Bradley.

In the men's race, Hillingdon looked like they had the individual and team prize sewn up early on, but that was to under-estimate the Serpie spirit! In a thrilling sprint finish Jon Poole took third place from Hillingdon and then the Serpie vests started coming in. In spite of our best efforts, it was even closer at the top with Hillingdon taking gold by just four points. Congratulations to the silver medal team of Jon Poole, Hugh Torry, James Gillanders, Dan de Palol, Matthew Holden and Jonathan Moscrop.
And that's not all: Dan took third place Vets prize, we were the winning Vets team and the winning B team.

Well done to all runners and thanks to David Lipscomb for finish funnel duties and Lisa Pettit and Miwa Tonaki for Serpie team duties.
