Seymour Leisure Centre
The Seymour Leisure Centre is the home of Serpentine Running Club and is the meeting point for the club's Wednesday and Saturday runs. Please note that the Seymour is operated by Courtneys not by Serpentine.
Arrival
Members of the Serpentine Running Club can use the changing rooms and showers at any time. During Wednesday and Saturday runs a Serpie (usually a Committee member) will be on duty in reception to check your MEMBERSHIP CARD. If you have forgotton your card or if you are not a member you will have to pay £1 and sign our guest book. At all other times, please show your membership card to the staff in the Seymour reception and they will let you into the centre after signing the Serpentine register.
Changing and Lockers
After passing through the turnstiles, the changing rooms are down the corridor to the left of reception. Do not use changing room lockers – it is vital in order to maintain use of the Centre that runners on Wednesdays and Saturdays do not use the changing room lockers (refundable 20p) except when showering or changing after their run. Please help us to police this by speaking to any runners you see using the lockers or wearing a locker wristband on the run, and explaining the system to them. After changing, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, please make your way to the club room to leave your baggage and meet other Serpies for your run. On other days please use the sports hall lockers (refundable 10p) to store belongings as the club room will not be open.
Club Room
The club room is located in the basement at the rear of the Seymour Centre. To find it, make your way down the left had side of the sports hall then turn left through the doors at the far end. Turn right and go down the stairs. The club room is directly opposite the foot of the stairs.
Kit Room
The club kit room is located on the first floor balcony, two floors above the club room. See our kit pages for information about how and when you can buy kit.
