Brooks Last Friday of the Month 5k
There will not be a race on Friday, 25 July. The next race will be on Friday, 29 August.
The race starts at 12.30pm, sharp. Meet by the bandstand from 12.00 noon.
If you already have your race number, there is no need for you to register separately on the day. Please wear your number clearly on the front of your race clothing. It must be clearly visible to officials at all times but removed once you have crossed the finish line.
There will be two races: an A race for those expecting to run under 22 minutes and a B race for everyone else, setting off 2 minutes later.
The race is held under UK Athletics rules. UK Athletics Licence number 2014-11898 applies.
Minimum age for girls and boys is 11 years.
There is a cut off time of 35 minutes. After this, we cannot undertake to keep the course marshaled.
For safety reasons, please do not run wearing headphones or other impediments to your hearing – you must be able to hear marshals' instructions. You need to be fully aware of what is going on around you at all times. This is for your safety, the safety of your fellow competitors and the safety of the general public. With the heightened importance of runners being able to hear what the marshals are telling them, we regret that competitors who ignore this request will be disqualified.
Serpentine is delighted that Brooks Running will be sponsoring the 2014 series.
