New Year's Eve social run for NYD10k volunteers

David Martin, race director for the Start Fitness New Year's Day 10k race and 3k fun run, will be leading an informal social run on Sunday 31st December before loading the van, to give you a chance to get to know the race course and make some friends with fellow Serpie helpers before race day.

The run is optional, but a nice thing to do if you are around, so it would be great to see lots of you there. A few of the roles can only be given to people who know the course and the more of us who know it the better.

We'll meet at the Seymour Centre to drop off bags in the bag room from 9am to 9:30am, then head down via Speaker's Corner to the FINISH of the 10K race (i.e. approximately the start/finish of the handicap race) for 9:55am. From there we'll head to the start of the 10k for 10am so if you don't need to drop a bag, please meet us at the finish in Hyde Park at 9:55am. The finish is marked with an "F" on the course map.

We are able to accommodate all speeds so whatever pace you are do join us. There's also the option to miss out the second loop of the course (about 2K) and do a shorter run.

Happy Christmas to you all, see you next week!
