From the England Athletics website - congratulations Nick!

Nick Torry (Serpentine) was first Englishman home with a strong 3rd place finish on a wet and windy night in Berlin.

Around 6000 runners lined up in the pouring rain for the night-time 10K, in a field which included 2009 London Marathon winner Irina Mikitenko.

Thanks to the typical efficient organisation from the team that delivers the Berlin marathon and the antastic atmosphere, this race is a growing event on the international calender. Nick Torry led the English challenge with a strong run of 30.21 followed by Matt Pierson (Holmfirth) in 7th and Aaron Scott (Notts) in 8th, with times of 31.09 and 31.10 respectively.

In the womens race 2:19 marathon runner Mikitenko led the field home in 33.15 with Holly Rush (Team Bath) closing in 2nd with 34.39.
