A non-competitive 10k held annually in Hyde Park in aid of cancer research and in memory of Terry Fox and his \'marathon of hope\'. This year saw a decent turn out of 200+ participants (despite the mugginess and the rain) who mostly walked or jogged the 2 lap course through Hyde Park. Although there were no formal water stations en route, there was live music, lots of marshall support and a nice selection of goodies at the end including the thoughtful addition of free towels (given the thorough drenching we all received).

Note: the marshalls misdirected the first wave of runners on the course which meant that some of us ran a 9k instead of the full 10k and I was certainly left wondering how it was possible to better my last 10k result by 6 minutes when the real result to input was much more modest.
