Report
Despite gale warnings and rain forecast, the sun came out in time for the starters gun. Despite the excellent conditions, the reputed flat course had(in my opinion) more than it's fair share of ups most noticeably a big hill
between miles 20 and 21. The crowds made up in enthusiasm what they lacked in numbers with one group venturing a Mexican wave when I ran past even without another runner in sight for 30 yards. After mile 21 the remainder of the
course was downhill or flat which looked promising for a strong finish but the met office did get one thing right, with a strong headwind causing some tired legs to falter. Tough but definitely a great experience and for once a stylish long sleeved Finisher tee shirt to wear down the pub.
