Prague Marathon (13 May 2007)

Race conditions were extremely challenging: hot and sunny with temperatures of 75 degrees (F). Even some of the elite field appeared to suffer in the very warm conditions. The largely flat and in places cobbled course takes you through the city past many landmarks including over Charles Bridge, it also doubles back on itself several times. Non alcoholic beer was available at a number of the water stations. Crowd support was good in the city centre and a well deserved Staropramen awaited all competitors at the finish in the Old Town Square.

Prague Marathon (11 May 2008)

Full marathon largely up and down the river in Prague, crossing some of the famous bridges and starting and finishing in the Old Town Sq. Good logistics (frequent refreshment stops). Reasonably flat and fast, although several spells of cobbbles.
