Elbaman Triathlon (25 Sep 2016)
A superbly organised event on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Elba. 2 loops of 1900m Australian style in the bay of Marina del Campo as dawn was breaking followed by 3 loops of 60km around the west of the island with the pain of 3 serious climbs per loop offset by the stunning views - total ascent of 2500m. The run was 6 loops of 7km along the beachfront packed with hundreds of enthusiastic supporters. Attention to detail even extended to offering hot lemon tea when the temperature cooled at sunset.
