Triathlon Training Sessions for Juniors

JUNIOR SESSIONS ENDED ON MONDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2017 AS WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND A COACH TO CONTINUE WITH THE SESSIONS IN 2018.

Aims of the squad

The squad will train for the upcoming triathlon season with some target races in the spring and summer which include the London Youth Games.

What do I need to wear / bring?

  • Cycle session (spin)
    vest/top, shorts and trainers (or cycle shoes if you have them)
  • Cycle session (outdoor)
    roadwirthy bike, helmet, lights (if appropriate), vest/top (hi-vis if appropriate), shorts and trainers (or cycle shoes if you have them)
  • Swim session (pool)
    swimsuit, goggles, swim cap, fins (Keifer rubber long), pull buoy and a towel
  • Swim session (open water)
    wetsuit, swimsuit, goggles, brightly coloured swim cap and a towel
  • Run session
    vest/t-shirt (hi-vis if appropriate), shorts, extra layers and trainers

Additional Race Day Kit: small towel, talcum powder, race belt, stretchy laces

Please also bring along water and some snacks, and £1 coin for the use of a locker (refundable).

Does an adult need to stay during the training session?

For the first few times that you attend, you must be accompanied by an adult. Once you have joined Serpentine then there’s no need for an adult to stay during the training session, although we must have a contact number that can be used in case of an emergency.
