New Years Day Zoom Social - Friday at 11am

Join us for a special New Years Day Zoom social, where we look back at the year gone by and announce some of the exciting plans we have for club members in 2021.

New Years Day would normally see many of us Serpies topping off the festive period by volunteering at the NYD 10K and then catching up in the pub after, as we reminisce about the year gone by and (sometimes wildly over-enthusiastically!) plan our sporting schedule for the year ahead. Sadly circumstances have conspired to prevent us from meeting physically this year, but for those of you that can still bear to look at a screen, we plan to do the NYD catching-up bit over Zoom. 2020 has been a highly unusual year, but the Serpie spirit has remained very much alive and we’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of all the great things that have happened.

So grab a tea, coffee (or if 11am isn’t too early) an alcoholic tipple of your choice, and join us as we take you on a visual tour of what Serpies have been up to in 2020, plus introduce some of the great things we have provisionally planned for 2021. On top of this we’ll be announcing the results and showing your images of the latest Serpiesphere 5K race, as well as announcing the overall winners of the Autumn 2020 series. Zoom details below:

We’d love any images you may have of your 2020 Serpie endeavours, whether they be related to running, triathlon, athletics or social events. If anyone has any pictures they’d like us to share please email them to me here, or submit them to our Dropbox account here and we’ll incorporate them into our ‘2020 Serpie story’*. Alternatively, people are welcome to share their 2020 sporting images on their own screens during the meet up.

Hope to see you there!

Sarah, Hans and Monica

*Please note – if submitting via the Dropbox link it would be helpful if you could indicate what the photo shows and when it was taken in the file name, or email this info to be separately.
