5k club record broken
Many congratulations to Nick Torry who set a new 5k (road) club record at the Sri Chinmoy 5k race at Battersea Park yesterday (15 July).
Nick won the overall race (winning a pineapple in the process) and set a new course record with his time of 14:34. Jonathan Poole took second place (to win an orange), equalling the previous club record of 14:43 (set by Nick three years ago) with Andy Greenleaf (also winning an orange - who said there were no rewards in endurance running?) in fourth place in 14:50. Congratulations to them all! Full results here.
Hopefully this should whet your appetite for the 5k club champs, also in Battersea Park, on Thursday 25 July.
