Graham Carson

We are very sorry to report the loss of one of Serpentine's members, Graham Carson, who died after a short illness on the morning of Friday 2nd November at the age of 71.

Graham had been a member of the club for over 14 years. As Karen Hancock has said, Graham will be remembered as an inspiring, erudite, kind and adventurous runner and cyclist.  Graham was a regular at several Serpie events, including the Handicap, various trail events and at the Greenwich Park Hill sessions. Graham was the 2008 winner of the Tom Hogshead club handicap trophy. Most recently, Graham was one of the Serpies who attempted Mont Ventoux at the end of June this year and ran the Summer League 10k in July.

Expressions of sadness and shock have been shared on social media.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to his wife Hisayo and daughter Yukimi, and to the rest of his family and friends.

On behalf of the entire Serpentine family.

Sue Barty, Hon. Secretary
