British Masters Road Relays – captains and runners wanted

The British Masters Athletics Federation (BMAF) are holding their annual road relays on Saturday 28th April at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield.  It's a great event with master athletes (those aged over 35) from across Britain taking part and suitable for a wide range of abilities.

Team captains and runners wanted

We currently don’t have a captain for either the women or the men’s teams – if you would like to volunteer please contact me at running@serpentine.org.uk.  The main tasks are to organise our teams, register entries, book train tickets and pick up the race numbers and declaration sheet on the day.

If we can get team captains in place we can then arrange teams.  The club will pay for the team entries and train fares to Sutton Coldfield and we can enter as many teams per age category as we want, so please also let me know if you would like to take part, and include your age category and a recent race time (ideally at 5k).

If you would like to run or need more information, please email Tom with your name, age category and 5k time by Wednesday 4th April. Please note BMAF will only accept entries from first claim members with an up to date England Athletics Registration (these will need to be renewed next month and a separate e-mail will go out on that shortly).

Timings

10:30 – Women’s V35 (teams of four), V45, V55 and V65 plus Men’s V75 (all of which have teams of three)
12:25 – Men’s V55 and V65 (both are teams of three)
14:00 – Men’s V35 (teams of six) and V45 (teams of four)
