Serpie Trail run - Sat 21st April

Jog the first (or the last) 11 miles of the North Downs Way from Farnham to Guildford on a social trail run led by Hisayo Kawahara on Saturday 21 April.

Picture from Serpie Trail run - Sat 21st April

We will follow the well-defined North Downs Way throughout until the River Wey, then, take a left turn to end the journey in Guildford.  The route is undulating with a few short hills.  Depending on the weather on the preceding week, it may be a bit muddy underfoot.  The pace will be very sociable and suitable for people who don’t take ‘running’ too seriously.  The route is suitable for the trail beginners, but you will need to have a fitness to run at least 10k without stopping.

There will be many refreshment options in Guildford, and also, there is a M&S at the station.

If you would like to come, please sign up on the event planner, here

Start:  Meet at Farnham Station at 10am (train departs 08.53 from Waterloo Station)

Finish: Guildford Station around 12.30pm

It is an unsupported run with nowhere to leave bags at the start, so come in your running gear and bring only what you will take with you on the run.  We recommend you bring/wear:

Waterproof jacket (if rain is forecast)

Warm layers

Trail shoes with good grip

Water and snacks

Cash for lunch/drink

I know that you fine people are already doing this, but let’s make #runandtalk our priority.  The whole objective for this is to have a good time with a like minded people whilst doing something healthy!  Let’s #runandtalk.
