Marathon Training - Long Runs

Many of our members have a Spring marathon planned.  Michael Ngo is leading a Saturday long run group in Central London on most Saturdays until the end of March and there is the Richmond Park Sunday runs for those who prefer to run on a Sunday.

Michael Ngo is leading a Saturday long run group in Central London on most Saturdays until the end of March and of course there is the Richmond Park Sunday runs for those who prefer to run on a Sunday.

This Saturday the long run group will start from outside the Serpentine Bar and Cafe at 9:30am, with groups running 16km (Battersea/Albert Bridge), 21km (Battersea/Wandsworth Bridge) and 26km (Battersea/Putney Bridge), all finishing at Lancaster Gate with a coffee afterwards at the Swan.  Most runners will be running between 5:45-6:30/km.  If you are outside this range and would be interested helping out at sessions in the future do let Michael or myself know.

The regular Saturday runs will start as normal from Hyde Park bandstand at 9:45am with  2 park and 3 park options.

Sunday runs are from Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park.  Get in touch with Kevin Murray (sunday@serpentine.org.uk) to confirm a run is happening and to be added to the Richmond WhatsApp group (outside of the WhatsApp community as shared with another club).  Details of the Richmond Park runs are here
