New Serpentine Website – User Acceptance Test

You may be aware that a new website for the club is coming! It has been a couple of years of work by the Website Team and we are hoping to be in the position to launch the site in the next couple of months.

The new website will:

-          Have a more modern appearance;

-          Be mobile and tablet-compatible;

-          Be easier to navigate and require fewer clicks to get the information you need.

Help us test the site!

Before we can use the site, we need to test the many functions the new website offers, and we would like YOU to help us.

We are recruiting a representative number of members who can form the User Acceptance Test team, and we expect the testing activities to take place in July. As a guide, we would ideally have about half a dozen members joining us in this endeavour.

It is worth stressing that this is not just for those who have a website or graphic design background. I personally do not work in IT, website or graphics design, yet I have been working on revising the website content and managing the new website project as part of my Communications role. It is important that we have ordinary website users on board.  So, whether you are a technophile or a technophobe, we would like to have you in the team. Also, it does not matter whether you are new to the club or have been with us for some time - you will be welcome too.

Join the testing team

If you’re interested in helping us test the website, please put your name down in this simple form herebefore Sunday 25th June. We will then select the team to make it representative of our club members, including a good mix of technical skills related to websites.

Any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Happy running / browsing,

Hans Ho
