Report
Beautiful race in and around the Zeller See, anti-clockwise swim in the lake with towering mountain views on all sides. First 20km of the cycle is flat to down hill but then the next 13km are up hill, 1st 11km of the climb are not too bad but the final 2km are 14% incline. Once you have ground your way to the top there is then a very twisty and technical downhill section which is as steep as 15% down at times. The rest of the cycle is flat or down hill generally on excellent roads so very fast, although a couple of wooden bridges to get over towards the end so be careful. Finally the run is two laps of a looping course that runs along the side of the lake so again beautiful views to keep you going over the last few miles.
Race has been held three times I believe and each time it has rained so expect to get wet at times out on the course, can be especially tricky if you catch that rain on the steep downhill sections but I was lucky and had just got through that part of the race before the rain arrived.
