Report

This cross-country race is on a 2 lap course through woods and along
scenic paths around Gosforth Park Golfing Complex, about half firm
track/road, and the rest undulating mud, marsh and large puddles. The
course seemed a little short as my GPS made it 9.7km. Lovely
atmosphere amongst the ~150 runners on the day, also cheerful
marshalls along the course were reassuringly situated near the worst
hazards. Trail shoes recommended, spikes are probably a good idea, tho
a fellow runner with spikes found them very skiddy on the hard wood
surface of a short bridge around the 3K mark, leading to a painful
tumble.
