Report

This Boxing Day race took place around the small village of Stoke St Gregory in Somerset. The event was very well-organised by the villagers, who have been staging the race for 20 years to raise funds for the village. They had been out at the crack of dawn clearing the route of ice and snow! The route was a figure of 8 course around the Somerset levels, although it was somewhat more undulating than the "flat" decsription given on Runners' World. There was a high standard of runners taking part from many South West clubs.
All in all a great race and a good way to run off the excesses of Christmas Day!
