Very bright and windy day -- 20mph wind, and cold: about 6 degrees C

Report

Very friendly race on Newcastle's slightly undulating Town Moor. About 350 runners of all levels, but there were some extraordinary runners there. Two laps of the Town Moor, plus a number of little twisty loops, presumably to get the distance right. Very friendly, but at times a bit crowded as all runners had to stick to the paved paths: ground on either side of most paths is very rough and somewhat waterlogged, so at times it was difficult to overtake on the paths at narrower sections.
