Stratford Shakespeare Half Marathon (24 Apr 2005)
Conditions were hot, hot, hot. Plenty of good support, water stations every couple of miles, but still hot. Lots of people suffering from the heat - personally, I spent about mile 7 onwards cursing whoever it was who thought that 1300 was a good time to start a long-distance race.
Still, the ice cream van at the finish was doing very brisk business.
And it was started by That Bloke From Top Gear. What more could you ask.
