We are a volunteer led club and are reliant on our members to keep the club running. Participating as a volunteer can enlarge your social engagement in the club as well as giving you a sense of purpose and satisfaction.
Ways to volunteer
Become a Coach
All our coaches and run leaders are qualified with the relevant governing bodies (England Athletics or British Triathlon). Want to become one of our coaches? We will support you through your training course if you are able to commit to coaching or leading our sessions!

Officiate at races and events
Every event requires officials, and we provide officials for all our events as well as volunteering in external meets. Details for becoming an Athletics Official or a Triathlon Official can be found below:

Marshalling
Marshalling is crucial to running events. Marshals guide runners around a race course, report incidents in case of emergencies, and keep other road users safe. It can be hugely rewarding too!
Assisting at our runs and cycle rides
Every week we need people to lead group runs on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, as well as lead our regular weekend cycle rides. To lead a session you require a coaching qualification, but it is great to have assistance. You don’t need any experience to do this, just a bit of enthusiasm and the motivation to get people going!
Join the committee
The committee is responsible for running the club, that means we adhere to our legal and official obligation, oversee our activities, and also be points of contact by members, non-members and stakeholders alike. A great way to contribute to the running community within our club and beyond.
Backroom help
We need individuals to help the club in many additional ways including administering the website; updating our social media channels; assisting in our marketing activities organising our kit shop.
