Serpie Talks Episode 4: “John O’Groats to Land’s End” with Simon Maughan (Fri 28 Nov)

Serpie Talk - Roman Fosti 25/4/25

Serpie Talks have been a great success this year with some brilliant speakers. We had Jim Ashworth-Beaumont on his journey of surviving and thriving back in February; before April’s London Marathon we invited Estonian Olympian Roman Fosti to share his experience of being a world-class athlete; and earlier in October we were honoured to invite Dr Nicky Keay to tell us about her expert subject of hormone health and its relationship with athletic performance. To complete this year’s line-up we will talk about a rather long journey by a distinguished member!

Episode 4 – “John O’Groats to Land’s End” with Simon Maughan – Fri 28th Nov

In March 2025, Simon Maughan ran across the entire length of Great Britain, from John O’Groats in Scotland all the way to Land’s End in Cornwall. We are delighted that Simon agrees to speak to us about his experience of preparing, running, and travelling along ‘JOGLE’. We will sit down with him to talk about what motivated him to undertake such an incredible journey, the highs and lows of those few weeks, and what running means to him. Put the date of Friday 28th November in your diary – join us that night at St Mary’s School for what promises to be a fascinating conversation.
