Serpie Talks Episode 1: ‘Surviving & Thriving with Jim Ashworth-Beaumont’ – Recording now available!

As it is Easter weekend, we Serpies have our own comeback story to share. On 13th February 2025 I had the pleasure to sit down with Jim Ashworth-Beaumont for the first episode of Serpie Talks. On the night we were all inspired by his story of ‘Surviving & Thriving’, with his recovery from a severe accident and his determination to come back to sports. We are now able to share the recording of the event with all of you, particularly those who missed it. Please follow the link on Youtube below:
I would like to thank Jim again for speaking to us. Also thanks to Hannah Cogan for producing the recording, including filming during the event and a tricky post-production process including getting the sound right, so you can hear what we said in the Youtube video.
Reminder of the next event…
Don’t forget the next Serpie Talks event is on this coming Friday 25th April when I will invite Roman Fosti, a former Olympian from Estonia. Roman is a Serpentine member who represented Estonia in the international stage for almost 20 years. He will speak to us about his running career, his experience in world class races, what he is doing with the running community in Tallinn and what running means to him.
Please click here for further details and how to register to attend – remember it’s free to attend for all members and non-members alike. For those who will unfortunately miss this, we are aiming to provide a livestream on our Instagram channel at the time of the event as well; the recording will likely be available afterwards too.
Any questions about the events, please contact me.
Happy Easter everyone,
