Brief description

Starting on the famous Venice Beach the run heads towards the early morning sun along the Pacific Coast to the the harbor of Marina del Rey and the shores of Playa del Rey. A gentle inclining path takes you across the beach with the chance to spot dolphins in the distance before the course turns to head back along the coastal road with a 2 mile downhill run to the finish.

Limited facilities at the start, toilets and a bag drop. Most local runners drive in and rely on their people carriers until a few minutes before the start.

Race village at the end provides lots of fruit, free beer and entertainment.

Shuttle bus return to car parks provided.
