Report

The standard was very high as it was a National Championship event and a World's qualifier. Jerome was a mere 6 minutes slower (mainly on the run) than the men's winner. Beate was ranked tenth in her age group and must be acknowledged for getting her women's team (most, if not all, are new to triathlon) prepared for a pretty tough course, especially the bike course. Special mention to Teresa Griffith as she put the origional Dambuster Serpie results lists together and for possibly having the lowest carbon footprint on the day - public transport to and from the nearest town (100 miles away!!!) and cycled to and from the event... very impressive.
