Part of the O3 series of races in Languedoc-Roussillon, this triathlon (1.5km/44km/11km) is based at Lac Joarres in the Aude and involves a triangular swim in the lake (plenty of white horses today), one loop into the hills with a 450m climb, and an out and back run along the south side of the lake. The field of 120 was almost exclusively from southern France and Spain. The race is really well organised and costs just €36 - well worth it.
