Race conditions

Dry, very breezy, a brief sunny interval, ~12°C. Intermittent heavy rain earlier in the day. The initially firm going had become more slippery after the international races had taken place.

Open Masters race following the British & Irish Masters XC International
races. Same course: 4 x 2K laps of Perry Park (3 laps for women and men
65+). The 83 participants in the Open race were mainly reserves for the
international teams plus members of Midland Masters and other local clubs.
