Report
The Milton Keynes Half has a fairly large field - fifteen hundred in total. It has Start to Finish chip timing and is flat. I was in the sub 1:40 pen and it to me 16 seconds to cross the line. This was correctly picked up by the timing system. While the scenery isn't breathtaking it is fairly pleasant.
The weather was dry and ideal for running although there was slight breeze. The course and conditions allowed for a potential PB.
Unfortunately it wasn't particularly well marshalled. The lead runner had a bike to follow . However the next 30-40 runners ended up running an extra mile due to taking a wrong turning.
Also the 1st and 12th and at least one other mile were missing.(I can't remember which one.)
Overall despite the missing mile markers and the disaster with the faster runners getting lost (which didn't affect me) I would strongly consider doing this race next year.
