Report
Starting with a loop on the beach in St. Bees to spread people out, the race soon gets hilly with a climb up the coastal path onto the cliffs to the north.
After that, hilly cliff-top running followed for the next 2 or 3 miles, including one hill which never seemed to end! A few flatter miles in the middle of the race then followed until we returned to run down the big hill and return along the cliff-top paths.
The race was probably nearer 11 miles than 12 and could have been better marked (several runners went off the route for a while), but it didn't matter as the runing and the views were superb.
