Report

It was tough but the weather was ideal: after dire predictions of downpours all day we were lucky to have the perfect temperature, a light breeze and despite occasional threats of rain, the heavens didn't open until after all three Serpies had finished! Descriptions of 'undualating' turned out to be absolutely correct though; while perfectly manageable on the first lap they were murderous on the second.

The race was extremely well organised by Halstead Road Runners, with plenty of marshalls where it counted, and also well supported by a hardy bunch of spectators. The small field of nearly 350, mainly club runners, was friendly and supportve too.

Chris & Rachel.
