Denver Marathon: 15 October 2006
The mile high altitude made for very tough conditions - the thinner air was noticable and, having only had two days to acclimatise (2 weeks is advised), a slower pace than normal is definitely advised. Even so, I struggled to catch my breath at the end. Great encouragement from spectators and some very pleasant scenery, but definitely not a marathon where you can be expected to do a PB.
