Report
A field of almost 3000 runners turned out on a warm spring-like morning in Central Park to contest this 5 mile race in honour of Fred Lebow, the inspiration behind the New York marathon. If you had time to look up as we negotiated the testing little climbs around the one lap course, there were spectacular views of the New York skyline and the beautiful surroundings of Central Park. With low price airfares, bargain prices in the shops and an exciting city to explore, you need a good excuse not to do this race!
