The Fenland 10 is a 10 mile road race organised by the Fenland Runners a club based in Wisbech. For those who find the parks of London too hilly this is the course for you. Other than two over bridges the only undulations are the bumps in the road surface. The race starts and finishes at a school just north of Wisbech. However, the rush to use the facilities before the race overwhelmed the water supply so queues for the toilets got rather elongated. The school PTA provided a very popular stall providing hot drinks and homemade cakes.



Being low lying and very open the wind was a problem on the last three miles. The only consolation was that the wind was a nice warm westerly one. At the start I looked out for, but didn
