London to Brighton (original route): 2 October 2005
The winner was was one minute up on the record at fifty miles and beat it by 6!!. Even Bruce Fordyce couldn't match it. From 50 miles he was flying. I beat him to finish line by less than a minute driving a car as fast as I could, when I could, just trying to stay ahead of him. Whilst it is mostly level and steep downhill from there when you cross the A27 there is another long slow upward drag for a good 3/4 's of a mile so it is still testing.
