Report

It was a 20mile (32km) road race held to the east of
Hull and organised by East Hull Harriers.

The course was mainly flat and took you along, for the
main part, country lanes and through little villages.
The last 4 miles went through a housing estate, which
varied the scenery somewhat !
Weather conditions were favourable - this part of the
world is very flat and exposed and in the past, has
made for a challenging race, running through gale
force winds. However this year's light north easterly
breeze proved to be comparably clement.

This was a low key pre-London marathon event, with
around 300 competitors. Facilities were adequate,
atmosphere was friendly, medals for every finisher,
with cash prizes for winners of each category.
