Why Join Serpentine?

There are many reasons to join Serpentine, here are just a few...

  • Serpies at Speakers CornerFree social runs in Hyde Park (and further) on a Wednesday evening and Saturday morning.
  • Free social run in Richmond Park on Sunday morning.
  • Many different formal and informal track, interval and hill training sessions to improve your speed and endurance. See details.
  • Free monthly handicap race of about 7km. Anyone can win and often our beginner graduates and newer club members do particularly well.
  • Free entry to various club-only league races, including: cross-country (Met league and Sunday league); Southern Athletics League and other track & field leagues; Summer League and Assembly League road races.
  • You can join our triathlon squads to get support in your triathlon training.
  • Be part of a running and triathlon community. Wearing Serpentine club kit (you get a free running vest or T-shirt when you join) you'll hear "Go Serpie" far and wide.
  • Explore the countryside around London with our cycle rides and trail runs (usually involving cake).
  • Swim and spin sessions open to triathletes and cross-training runners.
  • Regular beginner (running) courses for those starting out.
  • Discounted British Triathlon individual membership (which is required to avoid paying for a day license).
  • Discounts on races, especially if you opt to join England Athletics.
  • A Juniors section, active in both running and triathlon.
  • The legendary club room wine and cheese (but not for the juniors, obviously).
  • Social events ranging from our formal Christmas party to the Wednesday post-run pub.
  • Annual training trip to La Santa, Lanzarote.
  • Club weekends away to take part in relays, such as the Green Belt relay.
  • A host of discounts are available to club members.
  • Free use of the Seymour Centre changing rooms at any time. Very useful if you want to go for a run in Hyde Park and have somewhere to leave your kit.

We look forward to welcoming you to the club. You can join us online here

If you are still unconvinced, why not try out one of our Wednesday or Saturday social runs to chat to some existing club members and find out more?
