For everyone
- Free social runs in Hyde Park (and further) on a Wednesday evening and Saturday morning.
- Free social run in Richmond Park on Sunday morning.
- Many different formal and informal track, interval and hill training sessions to improve your speed and endurance. See details.
- Free monthly handicap race of about 7km. Anyone can win and often our beginner graduates and newer club members do particularly well.
- Explore the countryside around London on one of our regular trail runs (usually involving cake).
- Free entry to various club-only league races, including: cross-country (Met league and Sunday league); Southern Athletics League and other track & field leagues; Summer League and Assembly League road races.
- Social events ranging from our formal Christmas party to the Wednesday post-run pub.
- Annual training trip to La Santa, Lanzarote.
- Club weekends away to take part in relays, such as the Green Belt relay.
- A host of discounts are available to club members.
- Free use of the Seymour Centre changing rooms at any time. Very useful if you want to go for a run in Hyde Park and have somewhere to leave your kit.
For experienced, competitive athletes

Some club members meet up elsewhere for non-club coached track sessions. Many of our fastest endurance runners also run together at around threshold to marathon pace on most Thursday evenings, and also meet up for longer runs on Sunday mornings.
- Experienced, proven individual coaching if you think that may help you progress further.
- Particularly for runners from outside the UK, we are able to advise on race selection, such as which races offer the strongest competition, and on how the UK endurance running set-up might differ from other countries.
- Free entry to various club-only league races, including the Met league (possibly the most competitive cross-country league in the UK); the Southern Athletics League and other track & field leagues; and the Assembly League (a swift, monthly 5k series). County, regional and national level championships, the spring and autumn regional and national-level road relays, which attract many of the top runners in the country.
For triathletes
- A full program of coached triathlon training sessions to get involved with.
- Be part of a running and triathlon community. Wearing Serpentine club kit you'll hear "Go Serpie" far and wide.
- Explore the countryside around London with our cycle rides (usually involving cake).
- Swim sessions open to triathletes and cross-training runners.
- Discounted British Triathlon individual membership (which is required to avoid paying for a day license).
- Discounts on races, especially if you opt to join England Athletics.
For juniors
- A Juniors section open to ages 8+ open to all standards for athletics training and competition
For beginners
- Regular beginner and novice 10K (running) courses for those starting out.
