Serpies March Trail Run – Sunday 26 March
Date: Sunday 26 March
Place: North Downs Way, Kent – meeting in London for travel by train
The run will be along much of the route from the North Downs Run race, which is normally held in June each year. The Serpie trail run will start at Sole Street Station, and is roughly 24-25km (15 miles) in total. This time it will be a circular route, meaning that we will start and finish at Sole Street Station. After the run, you will be able to join us in a local pub to celebrate and rest.
With thanks to Mairi, there will also be a shorter run/walk this month. If you’re interested please write ‘shorter run’ on the sign up form.
For those who have run with us before, you will recognise how nice it is to escape London for a morning and enjoy fresh air and friendly chat. The route is quite hilly in parts, multi-terrain and follows undulating paths and established tracks and lanes all the way. If the weather is good we can expect amazing views.
To make it easier for those who prefer, we will meet at London Bridge Station in the morning to travel together to Sole Street. The journey time is around 45 minutes. The cost of an off-peak day return is £17.90.
This run will be at a social pace. The idea is to run together and have fun. If you can run a road 10k in about 60 minutes and have covered this sort of distance before, you should be fine to run at a social pace on trail. If anyone is interested in guiding a group either at the front or as tail runner then please indicate below.
If you are interested please fill in your details via this link. You need to be a Serpentine RC member to participate.
After signing up you will be contacted on the Friday evening before the run to let you know the meeting time and exact location. You will also be sent more details of the route.
Any questions please contact me directly.
