New Year’s Day 10k – Join us to volunteer!

Volunteering – Sign-up to volunteer here!

We are looking for a further 40-50 volunteers at the moment – thanks to those who have already signed up so far. The race is only possible with the help of Serpie volunteers that marshal the course, provide water, give out medals and generally enjoy the festive atmosphere in Hyde Park, followed by a Serpie trip to the pub. If you are in London on New Year’s Day, please help us make the NYD10k a reality by signing up to volunteer here

If you have any questions or preference as to your role, do not hesitate to contact the race organisers

Running – Enter the ballot!

Whilst in previous years Serpentine members have not been allowed to participate as we need a high number of volunteers to make the event possible, this year we will open a ballot to give some members the chance to enjoy this wonderful event from the runner’s perspective. The number of places available to run will however be directly proportional to the number of members that sign up to volunteer, in order to ensure we have enough volunteers.

If you would like to run the NYD10k, you may enter the ballot on the same link. Please note that you can both enter the ballot and sign up to volunteer in case you are not selected to run!

Places are likely to be allocated in early December. Please do not enter the race if you have not been contacted by the race organiser.

Help us spread the word!

Whether you are running or volunteering, please help us spread the word to all your friends to make the event even more memorable! You can share, like or comment on our social media posts about the race (on Facebook or Instagram) or simply direct your friends to the sign up page at Active Training World

Finally, it is worth noting that for the first time in the race’s history, we will have a non-binary category, as well as male and female. We are proud to be an inclusive club and we will be glad to make sure running is for everyone!
