Help sought at our Club Championship 10k on Saturday
On Saturday, 24 September, I will be involved with organising Serpentine’s 10k club championship, which is incorporated in the Middlesex 10k.
I’m looking for six Serpies to help me with organisation of the water stations on the course and at the finish plus two people to be part of the team recording the finishers’ numbers. Would you like to get involved?
The race will be held in Victoria Park, Hackney and starts at 10.30am.
Our hosts are Victoria Parks Harriers and Tower Hamlets AC and as in past years, Serpentine would like to support them by providing some of the volunteers as detailed above. You’ll have a great view of the race, especially as it’s three laps. Lots of Serpies will be taking part and you’ll have the opportunity to support and encourage your fellow club members as well as runners from other local clubs.
The meeting point is the Victoria Park Harriers clubhouse. This is situated on the corner of Cadogan Terrace, Victoria Park Road and Wick Road, E9 5EG. It’s 10-minute walk from Hackney Wick Overground station. I can email you a map if you need it. You’ll need to be available from 10.00am. The last runners should finish by 11.45am.
If you’d like to help, please can you email me on MalcolmFrench1962@yahoo.com
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in anticipation of your support.
