Club activities impacted during mourning period

Club Runs
On Saturday 10th and Saturday 17th September the club runs will take place as normal. Given the crowds and volume of press around Buckingham Palace there will be no 3 parks run. Alternative options for a longer run will be proposed at the start of the runs.
As previously announced, due to the AGM on Wednesday 14th September the club runs will be earlier than usual, leaving the Seymour Centre at 18:30 (all groups), and starting in Hyde Park as soon as the group from Seymour Centre arrives. Shorter routes are recommended, and there is no 3 parks run. The bagroom closes at 19:35 to allow runners to reach the AGM on time. I will make another assessment of Hyde Park on Wednesday and there may be a further announcement at the start of the runs.
There will be no Paddignton track session on Monday, 19 September.
Serpentine Biathlon
We are sorry to announce that tomorrow’s biathlon has been cancelled. We support the Swimming Club committee decision that it would be inappropriate for this to go ahead. It’s unlikely that the event will be rescheduled but if it is we’ll keep you posted. Thanks for your enthusiasm, we’ll try again next year!
Last Half of London
The Last half of the London marathon route training run is due to take place on 18th September starting from Tower Hill at 9am and finishing on The Mall. This is likely to be impacted by the Queen’s funeral if it is held that weekend and may not be possible. Once a date for the funeral is made public, then the run route viability will be assessed. For now, a sign up will be made available for the 18th September
