ATW Metropolitan Cross Country League – race 3 results

It might have been the last weekend before Christmas and a rather wet and windy day (to say the least) but it didn’t stop over 150 women and over 400 men (another record field!) turning up at Ally Pally for the last Metropolitan League race of 2013. 54 Serpie men and 32 Serpie women raced.
Once again Highgate had a very strong team in both races, winning both easily and the Serpie A teams were second in both races. In the men’s race this means that Highgate remain in the lead but we are now well clear of Shaftsbury Barnet Harriers (3rd) and Woodford Green with Essex Ladies (4th). In the women’s race our second place means that we slip to second in the division behind Highgate but with only 61 points between the two teams it’s still all to play for with two more races to go.
