Serpie women win Welsh Castles Relay

The Welsh Castles Relay is a race Serpentine have dominated over the last few years and looking at the women’s team list it was no surprise that we dominated again in the their race. Our men’s team was missing quite a few of the regulars of recent years which provided a great opportunity for others to race in the team for the first time including two women – making it an open team really, rather than a men’s team! Our vets team, once again having to contend with all the faster Serpie “over 35s” ending up on the senior teams, had a great weekend in Wales and avoided coming last!

Thanks…
To Paul Fromme, Liz Wynn and Jen Bradley for doing the logistics and planning – a massive job.
To Sarah Pemberton and Lisa Pettit for sorting the accommodation.
To Teresa Gailard de Laubenque, Simon Barrett and Lars Olsen for being team captains (you wouldn’t believe how many team changes they had to contend with!)
To all the drivers of minibuses, people carriers and cars who got 60+ Serpies to and from Wales and to all 20 stages in-between.
To Les Croupiers RC for once again putting on one of the best weekend’s racing you can do.
