Parkland Relays – Richmond Park

Runner in Hyde Park

This low-key, friendly, inter-club relay race is a great alternative to the usual Wednesday runs. Teams can be made up on the night and it’s possible to run in multiple teams if you want to.

Men’s & mixed teams: 4 x 3 miles

Women’s teams: 3 x 3 miles

The course is on grassland and paths within Richmond Park and is suitable for spikes or flats.

Individual and team prizes are awarded for women and men in open and vets categories. A presentation will take place in the Telegraph pub on Putney Heath after the race, where a subsidised meal will be available for approximately £5.

The course starts on the edge of Spankers Hill Wood in Richmond Park. If you drive, please use Robin Hood car park or the Thames clubhouse for parking. The clubhouse is on the east side of the A3 just after the ASDA roundabout; cars approaching from the south should use the underpass at the ASDA roundabout. Cars cannot access the park from Robin Hood Gate; the park will close to cars at 8:30 pm.

You can just turn up on the night and run (for a £4 entry fee) but if you tell me in advance that you’re going the club will pay for the entries so please click here to register using MyEvents.

It would be helpful is someone would volunteer to organise Serpies into teams on the night. Please email me if you’d like to help.
