The Duke of York’s function room was packed to hear a brief round up of the season from cross country captains, Vic Crawford and Eric Phillips, and to see Sarah Pemberton and Hugh Torry presented with this year’s cross country awards. Many thanks Vic for all of her hard work over the season and to Eric, who is standing down as men’s team captain, for all the work (including spreadsheet maintenance, pub booking and general coercion) he has put into building the men’s team over the past few seasons.

Thanks as well to everyone who ran at any of the events this winter in what have been really challenging conditions. Last, but definitely not least, huge thanks are due to the team managers, Malcolm French and Steph Vaatz, and to everyone who has helped out by standing in a muddy field marshalling; handing out numbers; helping to set up and take down courses; giving out numbers and collecting discs; organising the trip to the National championships; and booking post race pubs; not to forget the all important baking.
