Have you have helped out at a track & field meeting but aren’t yet a qualified official?

Or are you interested in helping out but don’t know what’s involved?

There are a couple of evening courses coming up, run by England Athletics, which you may be interested in.

These are a short introduction to the key areas of officiating that will enable candidates to assist at track and field meetings under the supervision of a qualified official. Both courses will be held at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre, 61 Meriden Way, Picketts Lock, London, N9 0AR, which is easily accessible on public transport.

Course dates: Monday 25 February & Monday 25 March

Times: 6.30pm – 10.00pm

Cost: £12.50

Serpentine will re-imburse the cost of the course for members who have helped out in the past and for members who will come along to some of our 2013 track and field meetings to put their knowledge to use! We just ask that you contact the Officials Co-ordinator to get pre-approval for this.

The deadlines for booking are 15 Feb & 15 March, so please contact me in advance of those dates to make sure you don’t run out of time (and they don’t fill up!)
