2012 Tom Hogshead trophy presented to winner, Andrew Roberts

Runner in Hyde Park

Andrew Roberts, scored a total of 186 points to take the 2012 Tom Hogshead trophy. Second place went to Ian Johnson with 175 points and joint third place went to Jeremy Freer (the only one of the four to complete all 12 2012 handicaps) and Treena Naylor, each of whom amassed 168 points. In an attempt to slow them down in the future, the handicappers presented a box of chocolates to each of them. Full Tom Hogshead table for 2012

The Tom Hogshead trophy is awarded to the runner who scores most points over a year of handicaps. Points are awarded for race position and performance against runners’ own PBs – winning the Hogshead is only possible with month on month improvement and resolve.

Congratulation to the winner, runners-up, and everyone who took part in what was an exciting and closely fought handicap year. Many thanks also to the handicap team for organising this much loved monthly club race.
