South of England Cross Country Championships – Entries

Runner in Hyde Park

Women run 8km, starting at 2.05pm and men run 15km, starting at 2.50pm. These events will be preceded by races for young athletes. Most of the leading runners in the Southern area will be competing, including plenty of internationals.

Please note that the men’s competition is not suitable for novices due to the demanding nature of the course. Those men wishing to run must demonstrate through performances in other cross country races this season that they have the ability to finish the 15k course within 85 minutes.

Advance entries only. No entries on the day and number exchanges are prohibited. Entries close on Sunday, 9 December. If you want to run, we need to hear from you before 9 December.

Please note that the club pays a fee of £7 for each athlete we enter, so please don’t submit an entry if you don’t plan to run as we cannot get refunds for those who don’t race. If you find you are unable to run, you must contact our team administrators, contact details below, to advise them.

Qualification criteria:-

1. First claim members only.

2. You must be registered with England Athletics and hold a 2012-2013 Competition Licence (if you are not registered or have allowed your Competition Licence to lapse you can register / renew by going to your Serpiebase membership page, clicking on the “Register with England Athletics” option and paying the £5.00).
